what's not vice?

By Tomas Karkalas

First and foremost, thanks for the Vice Week to Qondio. This theme forced me to open my dictionary for the clarification of the meaning of a word Vice. That was the beneficial out of itself. I was urged to look around more attentively than prior. The Dictionary enabled me to think. I have question myself, what's not vice?

The black color looks darkly. That's the obvious, yet it too belongs to the light. So what makes the light to create something totally opposite to her primary mission to enlighten our path?

The serious research demands as lots of work, as competence to talk about the subject. Yet it's obvious to everybody at a glimpse, the 'bad news' are growing with the threatening speed. We may diagnose each single point of human being as the infected already. Why?

The professionals could reply in detail - scientifically and convincingly - with authority. Yet it's the obvious to everybody : we are attracting what we are focused on.
While at first sight it may look wise enough to talk about the illness for the sake of recovery, the virus don't give up, but mutate and increase in power despite all our just stunning achievements in medicine.

I would like to end my musing with the invitation to lift up our heads and to discover the mesmerizing aroma of the wild flowers in the heavy clouds above our roofs. Lets share only these pictures. Let they be our firm reply to everything that hurt the blind.
So I will start from myself.

Thank you, dear Qondio for the help to question myself the meaning of a word vice. Thus you helped me to increase my Lithuanian-English vocabulary - enabled me to grow further despite my status of grandparent. This intel is my Thank you.

I used a vice to hold some pipe while I hack-sawed it to make my new gun rack. Us rednecks use that handy tool mounted on our tool benches for everything from cracking walnuts to getting the most out of the toothpaste tube.
